When the joys of parenthood are used as weapon to destroy your relationship with your child or such a barricade is installed restricting that relationship, it’s hard not to fall into a state of depression and self – reflection, but those emotions CAN be overcome and the relationship between you and your child CAN be restored, just not in the time you are hoping for.
Restoration of a relationship between a parent and a child is a process. It will not happen overnight, and this process requires years of dedication, patience, nights of screaming alone in the pillow, tears unlimited, and a heart dedicated in such restoration. It is the child that unfortunately is growing well beyond their years, as they too navigate this process.
